On May 1, 2025, Making Changes Association will welcome Calgary business leaders and community members as they come together for an extravagant luncheon with fellow female leaders for a candid conversation. Funds raised will directly impact the 3,000+ women and teen girls supported through programs such as Dress for Success Calgary, Women in Technology (WIT), My Best Friend’s Closet, and Basic Digital Skills for Women.

The theme for Powerful You! 2025 is “Making Changes to Accelerate Action”. The United Nation’s campaign for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 “Accelerate Action”, is built around the shocking statistic that at the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158 – roughly 5 generations from now – to reach full gender parity. This is a critical conversation that must extend beyond IWD. 

Panelists will share their professional journey, how the current political climate is impacting work on diversity and inclusion, and explore what strategies and actions are available for those who are committed to #AccelerateAction.
