GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Celebrating women

At Making Changes, we value the vibrancy and richness of women’s many contributions borne of our diverse backgrounds, courage and unique life experiences. Our resilient spirit to persevere and succeed in the face of life transitions. Our passion to make a positive difference in the lives of others and lend a hand when we too may be in need. Being open minded and sharing of our love, dreams and hopes.

Learning and growing, often from difficult life lessons. Inspiring and empowering all women at any age or stage of our lives to belong and make meaningful contributions to our communities. We celebrate women in all our splendour.

Positively changing lives

We are committed to helping women and teen girls going through life transitions to overcome barriers, open doors and create your own paths. Focusing on your strengths, we help maximize your potential and opportunities. We help put confidence back in your step, hope in your heart and a smile on your face. The positive life-changing results of our programs are seen in offices, classrooms, stores and communities around Calgary. And the fact that many clients have become Making Changes volunteers – and even employees – speaks volumes.

Thriving together

We are passionate about women helping women to support one another, each creating our own path, at our own pace. We celebrate our clients’ forward-moving strides and accomplishments, and the many contributions of our employees, volunteers, partners and community supporters. We believe in the power of personal and professional growth and encourage sharing of ideas, experience and knowledge so that each of us can advance our own future … and thrive together.
