BEHIND THE BRAND

Thriving together

At Making Changes, we’re “women helping women”, committed to empowering women to thrive in their communities through our Programs. With this in mind, we’ve embraced/adopted an origami Japanese crane as a symbol of our organizational identity. The Japanese crane represents hope and happiness. This reflects what our clients have told us about their experiences with Making Changes. The drive for our clients’ hope and happiness is also what inspires the ongoing passion and commitment of our staff, volunteers and Board to Making Changes.

Origami involves transforming a flat piece of paper into something beautiful. At Making Changes, that “something beautiful” is the empowerment and confidence of women and teen girls. The many folds of the origami crane represent “the many hands of women helping women” through their interaction with Making Changes and our Programs. It’s a thoughtful collaborative process to help achieve hope and happiness for clients through their own transformation and for our staff and volunteers to know they’re making a real difference. It’s about everyone thriving together, each in our own way.

When women support each other, incredible things happen.
